Maricaban Elementary School is indeed very gratified for being chosen as one of the school beneficiaries of the Project FILLS by the JCI Perlas (Junior Chamber International Philippines). This project aims to help more students who are classified as indigent and undernourished. The said program was attended by the chosen 50 classified indigent students form kinder to Grade Six together with their parents which will undergo an additional feeding program under to this project. This project was fully supported by the SDO of Pasay and the whole community of MES. Mrs. Emilia Oblianda our PSDS also attended the said program to witness the agreement of both parties. The whole community of MES special the new beneficiaries are very happy and thankful for the opportunity that was given to them.

Last September 28, 2017, the Maricaban Elementary School Faculty and Staff headed by the School Principal, Mr. Romy P. Socao and the SDRRMC Coordinator, Mr. John David A. Juave, with the total of 807 participants in the morning, 655 participants in the afternoon partook the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).
Reading Month Celebration at MES

Last November 20, 2017 Maricaban Elementary School joined in celebrating the National Reading Month. During this day the school conducted a launching program through a parade where in students, teachers, and parents participated the said parade that aims to inform the community about the celebration. The students from kinder to grade six had their own ways and parts for the program. The kinder students prepared and wore their best character costumes while the students from Grade, Grade Two and Grade Three shows their creativeness by wearing their “book cover costumes” which are made from big boxes and illustration boards, and for the Grade Four to Grade Six students they made beautiful and colorful slogans with different sayings from the famous writers and novelist.
After the parade a short welcome message was delivered by our principal Mr. Romy P. Socao, included in his message was some reminders about the other activities that would take place for the whole month of November regarding the Reading Month Celebration and one of those activities are the Spelling Bee Contest, Story Telling Contest, Book Mark Making Contest, and the Declamation Contest. The said activities will took place for the whole month and will be administered by the assigned grades.
The said activities are still happening until before this month end. The launching program that had happened was very successful through to the efforts of our School English Coordinator Mrs. Analiza P. Manabat together with the teachers and students of MES and for the untiring support of our parents most especially of our principal. Announcement of the winners will be done on the culminating activity of the said event on the last day of November.
CLUSTER 7 PALARO, PORMAL NA NAGBUKAS!!!

Noong nakaraang Nobyembre 22, 2017 ginanap ang kaunaunahang pagbubukas ng Cluster 7 Palaro na ginanap sa Maricaban Elementary School. Ang grupo ng Cluster 7 sa Dibisyon ng Pasay ay kinabibilangan ng tatlong paaralan ang Don Carlos Village Elementary School sa pangunguna ng kanilang punongguro na si Gng. Lisa Cabildo, Cuneta Elementary School kasama ang kanilang punongguro na si Gng. Genalin Ong at ang Maricaban Elementary School na pinangungunahan naman ni G. Romy P. Socao punong guro ng nasabing paaralan. Ang nasabing palaro ay pinangunahan ni Gng. Emelia Oblianda, Cluster 7 PSDS.
Ang palaro ay nilahukan ng mga manlalaro ng bawat paaralan kasama ang kanilang mga magulang, coaches at mga trainors na lubos ang suporta para sa mga kabataan. Naroon din ng araw na iyon ang nakababatang anak ni Congresswoman Emi Calixto Rubiano na si G. Luigi Calixto Rubiano para kumatawan at ipaabot ang mensahe ni Congresswoman Emi sa ating lahat.
Naging matagumpay at masaya ang nasabing programa dahil sa mga inihandang bilang ng mga guro sa panghapon ng MES mas lalo pang nagging makulay at masaya ang araw na iyon dahil sa pagpapakitang gilas ng mga Drum and Lyre group ng Don Carlos Elementary School at Maricaban Elementary School na siya naming sinundan ng pagawit ng isang magaaral ng kinder na talaga naming napa cute. Bago pa matapos ang nasabing programa ay naghandog pang muli ng isang kagilagilalas na bilang ang mga mag-aaral mula sa ikatlong baitang hangang ika - anim ng isang Field Demonstration Dance Number na talaga naming pinaghandaan ng todo ng mga guro at mag-aaral ng MES.

The Turn Over Ceremony of the Hand Washing Area to MES

December 11, 2017 marks as a very special day to our school because of the newly structured washing area that has been donated by several good hearted civic organizations in our community has been successfully turned –over. This project was successfully made by the joined effort of the following groups namely Air Philippines Employees Multi –Purpose Cooperative, Office of the City Cooperative Officer, Pasay Cooperative Development Council, Pasay Cooperative Sector together with the SDO Pasay and the City Government of Pasay. This wash area is positively created to help all the students, teachers and the whole community of MES to continue the advocacy of having a good and correct hygiene through washing hands before and after eating. The said project was placed beside the feeding center and the wellness center for easy access to all.
The said ribbon cutting program was also attended by Dr. Melody P. Cruz, our OIC ASDS and with Mr. Luigi Calixto Rubiano the youngest son of Congresswoman Emi Calixto Rubiano as her representative. Both of them gave their special messages of thanks and inspiration for the students, teachers and parents who have attended the program that will surely benefit using the new washing are
July is known as Nutrition Month nationwide, as the theme goes "Healthy Diet Gawing Habit- For Life".
MES learners had their parade along with their teachers to tap the community about the importance of each child's first diet and for them to be aware what nutritious food to eat. Some of the children wore their hats full of nutritious food, some of them are with their costumes on and slogans were also presented. it was a successful event for the school and everybody is looking forward for the final results as different contests per grade were on its elimination.
