PAMAMAZON Science and Technology Fair & Exhibits 2018 @UDM

As a part of the celebration of the Science Month this year the Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with the City Government of Manila hosted an event where in it showcase technology fair and exhibit at Unbersidad de Manila. The said event was attended by the chosen learners from grade five and grade six which are called as BATANG Emergency Response and Action Patrol or as simply as BATANG ERAP. The participants enjoyed the games and activities prepared to them by the members of the DOST Team. As a part of the event the MES BATANG ERAP took home the medals for being the CHAMPION in the mind games. The team was consist of grade six learners namely Lademma Thea Jen Delos Santos, Jasmine Laxamana, and Thea Buagas together with their coach Mr. John David A. Juave.

39TH DIVISION YOUNG WRITERS PRESS CONFERENCE AND CONTEST

The 39th Pasay City Schools Press Conference and Contest was a very unforgettable event this year. The young writers learned a lot from the said event which took place for almost a week. The awarding of winners took place at Timoteo Paez Elem School and it was a great experience looking at all the learners who won. Young writers from MES bring home different awards from different categories of the said contest. Our principal Mr. Romy P. Socao was very delightful knowing that being a young journalist and a trainer is not an easy task but still our young writers give their best and prove that even at a young age they can be a reliable and effective writers.

SOTTO OCCUPIES THE 2ND PLACE IN OK SA DEPED POSTER MAKING CONTEST

The Department of Education (DepEd) officially launched its flagship health program Oplan Kalusugan (OK) sa DepEd, as a convergence of its health programs, plans, policies and activities. Being the highlight of the OK sa DepEd Program, the One Health Week is set to roll out a set of health activities featuring, but not limited to, the five major DepEd school health programs: School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP); National Drug Education Program (NDEP); Adolescent Reproductive Health Education (ARH); Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools (WinS) Program; and medical, nursing, and dental services. The Schools Division of Pasay showcased the said program by having different activities and contest for the benefit of all the learners in Pasay, and one of our learner from the grade six level ocupies the 2nd place in the Poster making contest under the supervision and help of Mrs. Aurea M. Pendo. Pauleen shows her talent in creating a beautiful poster that shows and explain how important is to have a healthy body and mind as a learner.

MES LEARNERS REAP AWARDS IN RECENT CONCLUDED 2018 TECHNOLYMPICS

Technolympics is an activity which is a part of the National Festival of Talents under the T.L.E. /EPP and Livelihood Education in every public schools in our country. This years Technolympics is composed of different contest that covers the activities which is related to the livelihood education. This year the Schools Division of Pasay conducted the 2018 Division Technolympics that was held at P. Zamora Elem School and participated by all the schools in elementary and secondary in Pasay. From the said competition four learners from Maricaban Elementary School reap different places and this are Estella Marie Talua (Grade Four) 3rd Place Basic Encoding under the supervision of Mr. Sonny B. Bulso, Leslie M. Rosales (Grade Five) 3rd Place in Vegetable Preservation under the supervision of Ms. Lourdes Magistrado, Aicel Pinca and Jhanrie Aquino (Grade Six) 2nd Place for the Silk Screen Making Contest under the supervision of Mr. Nestor P. Delda Jr.

MARICABAN ELEM SHOOL ALS LEARNERS PASSED THE 2018 A & E TEST

The Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency (ALS A&E) Test, formerly known as the Non-formal Education A&E Test, is a paper and pencil test designed to measure the competencies of those who have neither attended nor finished elementary or secondary education in the formal school system. Passers of the A&E Test are given a certificate/diploma, bearing the Department of Education (DepEd) seal and the signature of the Secretary, certifying their competencies as comparable graduates of the formal school system. Passers are qualified to enroll in secondary and post-secondary schools. And from the recent concluded A &E Test, four junior high school ALS students and 1 from elementary level passed the said exam through the help of thei instructional manager Mrs. Maria Lina L. Bocar.

MES CROWNED THE NEW 2018 MS. MES EDUCATOR

After reigning for almost a year Ms. rena Rose Gargar passed the crown to Ms. Carene Morta who is the newly crowned Ms. MES 2018. The said event was truly a success as part of the celebration of Teachers’ Day this year. Everyone was so static that they cannot almost hide their excitement for the event. The representatives from kinder to grade six where all amazing and beautiful. This event is one of the proofs that teachers are really multi taskers and professional in everything that they do. With this we are very proud to have the new queen of MES. Congratulations Ms. Carene Morta.
