Maricaban Elementary School supported the Early Registration Program of the Deped, which was held last January 26, 2019 in preparation for the opening of academic year 2019-2010. Early registration is a program of the education department where in it will establish the increase of enrollees for the coming school year. According to the principal Mr. Romy P. Socao, the program will help the school for the preparations of the school facilities including the classrooms and as well as the human resources. He also added that those who are expected to register are children who will enroll in Kindergarten, Grade One, Children with special needs, and Out-of –School Youths. The school also ask the parents to bring along a copy of their child’s birth certificate PSA copy showing that the child is already five years old or turning five years old until August 31, 2019 for the kindergarten and turning six years old until the same date for the grade one students. The whole MES faculty also joined the said program where in it started with a parade at exactly 8:00 in the morning headed by the principal Mr. Romy P. Socao. The said activity lasted until 4:00 p.m. The school urged the parents to support the early conduct of school children registration.
Off campus or also known as field trip was held last February with the learners and students of Maricaban Elementary School. The said activity is the most exciting and relaxing way of learning for the students who joined that day. The off campus tour and activity held was held at the different places in the Metro such in Luneta Park, Childrens’ Playground, Kidzania and many more. the students really enjoyed and at the same time they learned a lot about those places.
Three learners from Grade six grab the second place award in the recent concluded Math Challenge Quiz Bee held at the Division Office of Pasay. These learners showcase their abilities in doing the mathematical test and gave their best shot to grab the award. Their Trainor is Mrs. Marichel Humangit.
On an enchanting day of February 1, 2018, the coronation night for Mr. & Ms. 2019 was held at Maricaban Elementary School. The program started at exactly 3:00 in the afternoon led by MES marching band. Upon reaching the school, the band performed a special number showcasing their musical and dancing skills.The event was hosted by Mrs. Vanessa T.Nollora and Ms.Ella Mae F. Camacho. The coronation rites started with a ramp parade of the other hopeful candidates who didnt make it to the top 15 wearing their best dresses and smiles. Singing of national anthem and Pasay Hymn conducted by Mrs. Brigida Turiano followed and a doxology presented by selected Grade 5 pupils. Mr.Romy P. Socao welcomed everyone on the momentous event and showed his gratitude to all of people involved especially the parents. The grand entrance of the successful top 15 followed and all the candidates presented their opening salvo. A song number was performed by Precious Romero, a grade 6 pupil. Best in Gown for female and best attire in male were given as special awards. A Kinder pupil candidate no.1 was the winner for female candidates and candidate no.42 a grade 3 pupil was the winner for male candidates. The awards were given by the school principal, Mr.Romy P.Socao, GPTA Pres. Jenny Delos Santos together with the parents and advisers. Parents and advisers pinned the sash of the top 15 followed by a walk describing the dreams of each candidates. Aside from sash, the runners up received also their trophies and boquets of flowers and were crowned. The second runner-up is Aldwin Clark Pinca amd Trishia Mae Ambay and first runner-up is Aryin Lin Jagonoy and Princess Nilbert Sinforoso. The former Mr.&Ms. MES 2017 Jhasper Magay and Lademma Thea Jen Delos Santos had their farewalk over a voice over showing their gratefulness and inspiring others. Crowning of the new Mr.&Ms. MES 2019 followed. The new Mr.MES is Jhared Gasmen. His parents are Mr.&Mrs.Sunny Gasmen under the advisory of Ms. Lourdes Magistrado and the new Ms. MES is Rea-Jane Dayag. Her parents are Mr.&Mrs. Rico Dayag. Her adviser is Mrs. Marlene Begutierrez. The newly crowned Mr.&Ms.MES had their royal dance together with the runners up and top 15 candidates. The program ended with a closing remarks by the GPTA President Mrs.Jenny Delos Santos. It had been a wonderful and magical event. And the tradition will continue and will still search for new kings and queens.
February 7, 2019 marks the day when two grade five pupils vaunt the first place in the recent concluded MTAP Division Team Orals that was held at Villamor Air Base Elementary School. Remy Parcia and Dahlia Aganan was the two students who vaunt the first place in the said event together with their trainor Mrs. Marichel N. Humangit. There were also representatives from Grade One to Grade Six in the said event where all the MES student not just enjoyed the contest but they also gained many lessons and friends from the said event.
Maricaban Elementary SChool is truly grateful with all the blessing that coming from all those individuals with golden hearts such as EXL MOA who handed a hundred pieces of ham for our feeding benficiaries this year. the said donation was handed by the representative of EXL MOA to Ms. Aba Angelita Goylan our feeding teacher through Ms. Malou Benisano.
Another blessing was handed by the Rotary Club of Makati NorthEast as they hosted the “Oplan Sagip Paningin” to our learners who are having difficulties with their eyesight. They conducted a free eye check up and free reading glasses and correction eye glasses for those who are identified having problems with their eyesigth. the said project was initiated by Mrs. Marilyn Q. Dela, Master Teacher II of maricaban Elementary School and also a great rotarian.
Teacher induction is a professional development program that incorporates mentoring and is designed to offer support, guidance, and orientation for beginning teachers during the transition into their first teaching jobs. Induction programs aim to provide instruction in classroom management and effective teaching techniques; reduce the difficulty of the transition into teaching; and maximize the retention rate of highly qualified teachers. This program is a big help for new teachers to sustain all the learnings and qualities that they have to attain the success in their profession. The TIP process was conducted to newly hired teachers by the assigned master teachers and even the school principal that provided many ways and means of help.
In relation with the celebration of the 2019 Fire Prevention Month this whole month of March the BFP in cooperation with Schools Division of Pasay once again held the 3rd Fire Square Competition at Cuneta Astrodome this March 12, 2019. The said event caters different contest such as esay writing, drawing and poster making, and quiz bowl to test the knowledge of every learners about fire prevention. this activity is also aiming to give awareness to every young individual the fire safety precautions on how to prevent the outbreak of destructive fires in order to save lives and properties. Three MES learners were chosen to represent the school for each contest and this are Jhellene Grace Villagante (Drawing and Poster making contest) Dhalia Aganan (Quiz Bowl) and Remy Parcia ( Essay writing)
Fire square Road Show educates children on fire safety. The bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in coordination with the different schools in NCR, recently launched a 1 day Fire Square Road Show last March 2, 2019 at SM Megamall in Ortigas Pasig City. The said event is to impart awarness among children on Fire Prevention education and Emergency Responses as a frontline program of the agency and this was attended by selected students of MES from grade four and grade five together with the school’s DRRMC coordinators Mr. John David Juave and Mrs. Rena Rose Gargar. The event was interactive in nature wherein the learners are joining in different forms of life safety activities. The activities will not just only help the learners to increase their memory but also it will help them to develop their muscle memory coordination. knowing the importance of this kind of activities the BFP will be having another fire square road show on March 28, 2019 at Cuneta Astrodome.
October 5 marks the celebration of Educators Month every year. As a part of this celebration MES once again conducted the search for the new Ms. MES Educator 2019. New set of representative of educator from each level continue to strive for the crown and title this year. The said event as attended by many students who are supporting their teachers. Each and everyone are excited and the ambience of the place was so enchanting the whole ground of MES was so magical and elegant as the candidates pass through the stage and ramp. Before the eventcome to an end a new queen has been crowned and given the title of Ms. MES Educator 2019. After holding the throne for a year Ms. Carene Morta the previous title holder is now ready to pass the title and crown to Ms. Kristine F. Neypes. She is the representative of the Grade Six for the said event she showed her desirable skills and talent as an educator. She deserves the title and crown this year.
“We are strolling back from the past” this is what Balik-Tanaw Activity is all about as the MES learners encouter different activities and games from the past last March 8, 2019. The said activity caters to give an awesome experience to the learners on what our past generations have. Their were almost 800 participants from kindergarten to grade six who truely enjoyed the whole activity from the video presentations, exhibits of materials and cultural dress, games and a lot more surely the learners really enjoyed and learn a lot from it and d of course at the end of the day they also enjoyed watching the fire dance presentation that lives an awesome feeling to all of them.
An exciting array of talents and skills of kindergarten learners were showcased last March 4, 2019 at Maricaban Elementary School as the Cluster 7 of the Schools Division of Pasay which is composed of Maricaban Elementary School, Don Carlos Village Elementary School, and Cuneta Elementary School celebrates the Cluster 7 Kindergarten Festival of Talents with a theme “Batang Kinder Ipakita ang Talento kasabay ng Bagong Milenyo”. The said event was a simultaneous contest that is composed of Drawing/Poster making, Carinosa dance contest, Cha-Cha dance contest, Singing Contest, Story Reading Contest, and Story Telling Contest. Each participants from the thre schools were all amazingly great. The said event aims to enable the kindergarten learners to showcase their talents and foster camaraderie through a healthy and friendly competitions. The students learning and talents through the different category will be exhibited on the 2019 Division Kindergarten Festival of talents that will be held on March 18, 2019. Winners from every category where judge well by the distinctive judges namely Mr. Rogelio Junio (EPS in Math), Mrs. Consolacion Diaz (EPS in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao), and Dr. Maripaz Menoza (EPS in Science), the activity was also joined by Dr. Azucena Evardone (Division Kinder Supervisor) and Mrs. Emilia Oblianda (Cluster 7 Supervisor) the three principals were also present that day, Mr Romy P. Socao (MES) Mrs. Genalin Ong (CES) and Mrs. Ma. Liza P. Cabildo (DCVES).
Maricaban Elmentary School received an award last May 15, 2019 wherein MES wins the 3rd place for the Division Search for Best Website Year 2. This is the first time that the school website receives this kind of award. MES school website is an avenue of information to virtual world and to the many stakeholders who are eager to know more information about the school.
